Sudden Clarity, Clarence?

Bit random of a post tonight, because I sort of discovered a thing.

I was surfing through old photos, taking note of several of my favorites when I noticed an anti-pattern.

Many of my favorite photos are not necessarily among my best photos.

“Best” can mean a lot of things I suppose.

I don’t like a lot of noise, I prefer a sharp focus, I like eye contact, I like deeper blues in the sky.

BUT…I also like unique perspectives, unusual lighting, natural and spontaneous moments, and exploring “what story does this suggest?”

And sometimes, you don’t get spontaneous AND sharp focus or low noise. It’s hard to get BOTH unusual lighting AND deep blue skies.

This isn’t all of my favorites…just a few I found tonight. But I like this exploration, so I think we’ll see the topic revisited in future posts.

Maybe you’ll like some of them as much as I do.
